Professor Anton Leykin of Georgia Tech University, Professor  Erich Kaltofen(ACM Fellow) of North Carolina State University ,Professor Xiaojun Chen  of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Professor Jean B. Lasserre (SIAM Fellow) of French CNRS gave wonderful invite report of their own research fields. 25 experts  from the United States, France, Canada, Belgium, Japan, Argentina and China made wonderful reports in this conference. More than 80 participants from over 10 countries and regions attended this conference. This conference was organized by Professor Lihong Zhi(Chairman) of Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science, Professor Erich Kaltofen of North Carolina State University, Professor Mark Giesbrecht of Waterloo University, and Professor Mohab Safey El Din of Paris 6, Universite Pierre et Marie Curie University. This conference was funded by the NCMIS; AMSS,CAS; 973project and national natural science foundation.

This conference promotes the exchange and cooperation between experts and scholars in the field of symbolic and numerical hybrid computing, provides an opportunity for participants to show the results of original research and to know the latest developments in symbolic and numerical computing.
