Professor Phong Nguyen is a computer scientist at INRIA and now also at Tsinghua University. He works mainly on cryptanalysis and algorithmic number theory, especially lattice-based cryptography. For example, many lattice-based cryptosystems, such as NTRUSign, GGH, were broken by him. He also proposed one of the most efficient algorithms for SVP in practice, which has been the first place in a famous SVP challenge for a long time. He now has a collaboration with Dr. Yanbin Pan at KLMM.

During his visit to KLMM, he will present a talk in the Computer Mathematics Seminar on the algorithmic revolution in geometry of numbers.
