5th International Workshop on Mathematics and Algorithms for Computer-Aided Manufacturing, Engineering and Numerical Control (MAMENC2015) was held at the China National Convention Center(CNCC) on 10-14 August 2015. The conference was invited to The United States of Americia, Israel, Hungary, Korea, Germany and other countries universities and research institutes, as well as domestic Tsinghua University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, University of Science and Technology of China, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shenyang Institute of Computing Technology, CAS; Shenyang Institute of Automation, CAS, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Nanchang University, Liaoning Normal University ,more than 60 teachers and students to participate.
This conference was presided by Prof. Hongbo Li (Director of the Department of Advanced Manufacturing of NCMIS, Director of KLMM) , Prof. Hongbo Li hosted an opening statement. Professor Moshe Shpitalni of Technion- Israel Institute of Technology, professor Gabor Stepan of Budapest University of Technology and Economics, professor S. Jack Hu of University of Michigan, professor Myung-Soo Kim of Seoul National University, professor Gershon Elber of Technion- Israel Institute of Technology, Doctor Thomas Grandine of Boeing Company, professor Xiaoshan Gao of Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science, professor Eckart Uhlmann of TU Berlin(Bernd Peukert Instead of Professor Eckart Uhlmann), professor Chen-Han Lee of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, professor Yu Zhu of Tsinghua University respectively,give plenary report of their own research fields.
MAMENC2015 is an Embedded Conferences of The 8th International Congress on Industrial and Applied Mathematics (ICIAM2015), which is hosted by the KLMM, Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science, CAS, funded by the NCMIS; AMSS,CAS; ISS,CAS;KLMM,CAS. The conference promotes exchanges and cooperations among research institutes at home and abroad in the field of digital manufacturing, plays an important role in integration of cross areas of academic research between mathematics and advanced manufacturing.
